Canonization of Nikolas II: the attitude of Russians Not long ago the Archiery Sobor of the Russian Orthodox church made a decision to canonize the last Russian tzar Nikolas II. The poll shows that 64% of Russians know about that. The respondents were asked how did they perceived the decision of the Archiery Sobor to number Nikolas II to the countenance of saints. The opinions shared: 21% of those surveyed perceived that with approval, 21% - were indifferent, and 17% - disapproved that. Mainly the decision of the Archiery Sobor to canonize the last Russian emperor almost didn't influence neither on the respondents' attitude to the Russian Orthodox Church, nor on the attitude to Nikolas II. 75% and 78% respectively of those informed about this event respondents told about invariability of their attitude to them.
