A majority of informed respondents (38% of those all those surveyed) worry about events in Ukraine, while 19% are indifferent. Zyuganov supporters (47%) and respondents over 35 years old (43%) were more likely than others to take Ukrainian events to heart. As we know, the Ukrainian opposition has been clamoring against President Leonid Kuchma. Most of those surveyed (51%) think Russia should stand neutral in this situation. According to 16% of respondents, Russia should support the Ukrainian opposition, while 12% think we should support Leonid Kuchma. The Public Opinion Foundation.
